Hi, I have a problem with a client of mine who’s stepping on my toes. I’ve migrated Wordpress sites to Wordpress, but I’m with a client who is wanting to migrate his site from code to Wordpress and have no idea how to get it started.

I did a little research here at Stack and Google on the subject, and I couldn’t find anything about it. The idea is that it has all the news posts of the site in a database in SQL, and I need to transfer them to Wordpress, but I have no idea where to start this.

If anyone could help me out on this one, I’d really appreciate it!

  • What would be "code site" ?

  • Site in code in case, no CMS in the middle.

  • posts or information are in databases or in files, for example *.html?

  • Same database, I’m even with . sql here with the structure codes

  • puts part of it in the question, but theoretically you can import it as post and go fitting in fine hit no ?

  • Vish, I have no way to attach here, it’s too big the code :/

First see if your client’s website has the option to export xml. There are plugins that migrate through the file think until you have csv also and you just arrow where the information goes. Via BD It is not difficult but it is laborious, need to look at the wordpress post structure with the structure it already has ready and reference in sql making the updates.
