This happens when the file has invalid or "abnormal" characters like β of the German language.

If you enable the option "draw_white_space: all", the sublime will show a ball, where there are white spaces and a dash where there is a tab, and if you have a blank with nothing, it’s an invalid character, remove it.

Carácter inválido

You can also go on File > Reopen with Encoding -> Western (ISO 8859-1) that all invalid characters will be converted.

Actually, my file had invalid characters like @kaduAmaral mentioned above, but unfortunately the sublime did not show me what were the characters.
I had to open the file with the Notepad++, went on format>Character set>Western Europe>ISO 8859-1.
With this, Notepad showed me the invalid files such as: Beginning, Description§§§§ãµes and others.... I deleted and put first the valid characters type: Home, Description and editions, saved the file and opened again with the Sublime, and tried again to save the file with the encoding ISO 8859-1 and it worked, then I put the words again with the accent.

If you have any more practical answers !

  • I updated the answer there. ;)
