VSS 2005 Internet Access and IIS 7 - I can’t set up for remote access

Guys, I searched several tutorials and nothing works.

I followed every step of that link and when it comes to:

Now click "Server" -> "Configuration" -> check on "Enable Sourcesafe Internet for this computer" and "Enable Sourcesafe Internet for this database" -> Enter your web server dns name -> "OK"

From the error, give this message:

Visual Sourcesafe internet was not enabled on this computer because Internet Information Services(IIS) is not installed.

I already changed my app ID to 1 to see if it works and nothing. And yes, the IIS is installed and enabled, there is even a large system working.

Someone has a suggestion?

  • You are lucky not to be able to install VSS. Now you can look for a really safe product for version control :)

    Windows does not have version control tool, Microsoft has, is Visual Source Safe... And VSS 2005 is compatible with Win 8.1.. then gave no problem to install... the business is to make the communication between VSS and IIS to allow remote access... If you can help me, thank you.
