Good night.

I’m in constant trouble with the PDI. Sometimes when I open Spoon.bat it doesn’t load the repository and it doesn’t enable the option to connect to a repository. I’ve searched several forums and so far the past solutions haven’t worked for me. I’ve already deleted the folder. user profile Kettle (unsuccessfully) and I’ve also set up the repositories.xml for UTF-8 (also unsuccessfully). Someone has another suggestion there?

I need to log in and log in about 10 times to load the repositories list.

For me the following solution worked. Close your PDI, Navigate to the following folder of your PDI installation:

..\data-Integration system Karaf caches Spoon\

There may be date-1, data-2 folders ... enter each and delete all content, look, delete the contents of the folder, not the entire folder. Run the Spoon.bat

If not for certain there are other possible attempts that can solve this problem.

EDIT: Looking for other alternatives, some users reported possible incompatibility with the JDK version, and that in this case, was to be used version 1.8 of JDK (Java). Personally I use the jdk1.8.0_131 and jre1.8.0_181 version for PDI. If you don’t use JAVA for any function other than PDI, it’s worth a try. Reiterating that the first solution solved the problem for me, and I use these versions of java.

  • Talk friend, all good? Thanks for the comment, but here with me it did not work =/

  • You’d have another suggestion to try?

  • I updated my answer.

  • Thanks Cristian, I’ll see if I update my jdk. Abs

Gentlemen, I’ve identified the problem! If you are in the creation of a "File Repositury", this happens if in the directory the names of the folders contain spaces or any type of accentuation. Rename folders by removing accents and spaces. Then go to "C: Users Seu_usuario . Kettle" and delete the file "repositories", finally, restart the PDI.

  • Good friend. I recently stopped using PDI, but it’s good to know the solution to the problem. Thanks for Sharing. Abs
