I’m developing an app for a school autoschool, my question is on the issue of encoding files are all UTF-8 by default or is it just applied to values like values-en-rBr? My concern is only whether special characters like you will remain intact.

All XML files are UTF-8, so in theory any file of any language can contain any character.

Ideal is that the default language is English, but auto school really is a market that only has in Brazil, so it is not worth the effort.

To documentation does not set an ideal language to be default and this is understandable after all it will depend on the design and specifications of the app.

With respect to special characters you don’t have to worry like the epx spoke.

  • Lucas, it would be nice to quote in the reply the text of the link that confirms this, to leave well documented

  • Ricador, actually I meant that the documentation does not determine which language should be the default. I made an edition in my reply to make it clearer.
