We have an application here at work where we generate some screens in Portuguese and store in a database to have an easy flow of deployment in a productive environment.

But when adding the screen to the database (SQL) it converts the Greek theta symbol that is used in the angular, in a code ï and then when we request this screen of the database, it gets this code ï and logically, the screen does not work.

Would anyone know how to make SQL not convert this Greek symbol?

What is the collation what about your SQL instance? What kind is the column you’re storing the text in? Doing the query directly in SQL, returns it correctly?

What are the character encodings used in the application and in the database?
