I have a question regarding the languages available for native development. I heard on a podcast that there are still applications that maintenance is done in objective-c. Would it be good to learn both? Or just focus on Swift?

For development and learning I believe that Swift is easier, which would make the process a little less suffered, but still has no way to point out which to choose, both are supported. The choice is more personal taste, so any answer here probably will be based on opinions, even if they say Object-C is reasonably faster and Swift is faster to learn and write code, they are still variations of personal choice yet.

If you follow the career of Developer Mobile-iOS, most often ask for Obj-C and Swift, in which case it is good to learn both. If it is to do something temporary recommend starting with Swift.

I have been iOS developer since 2012, when there was no Swift yet, only Objective-C. Nowadays the vast majority of projects are done in Swift, which Apple is always updating, and which every day has more resources, becoming one of the most modern languages today. So it doesn’t pay to learn objective-C? It does, but the chance of an app showing up that you have to maintain is smaller by the day. So today, I find it more valid to start with Swift than with Objective-C.
