I am needing to integrate ssis to a project that has already been started, for importing excel spreadsheets and things like.

All the tutorials I see shows creating a ssis as if it were a new project, which is not my case.

How to apply SSIS to an existing project?

  • Try to explain the question better. From what I noticed there is already a project that has the import of several files, and the goal is to add a new SSIS package to this solution/project. Already tried to add an existing item, or on the server to import the new one?

  • I do not know if it was very clear but the doubt is this very, I have some spreadsheets that are imported in c# pure, and this makes the gigantic spreadsheets to be extremely slow, with this, they decided to change to this ssis for being more robust for this type of situation, with this, already have a good part of the project that is ready, and would have to change some parts of the code to instead of having this import, import using SSIS, but I’m having difficulties in how to intrude them

  • Then the best solution is to see tutorials and put your hand into the dough ;) link: https://www.sqlshack.com/using-ssis-packages-import-ms-excel-data-database/
