I had Node.js 5x installed and I downloaded and started the installation of Node.js 8x and Wizard did not install and reverse the entire operation and now I do not have Node.js and npm installed.

  • My Windows is the 64 bit 10
  • The version of Node.js 8.11.3-x64

  • Have you reset the machine? So much node as npm have to be mapped in the path and sometimes only after restarting it is updated

  • I’ll test it tonight, thank you!

  • Nothing works. I have another Stack post in English with more details and what you suggested so far didn’t work. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/50848834/error-on-installing-node-js-windows-10-64bits

After a lot of fighting I only managed to settle by installing nvm-windows

It allows you to manage several Windows from Node inside the PC. Excellent. The complete fight until you get the answer is in the other post on the page in English. Nvc Saved, Post -> Post in English

  • is easy if you start using the Chocolatey instead of installers use to years and never had problems with facilities and desisntalacoes

  • That’s right, Chocolatey is a good option for managing this kind of dependency. , but by the way, @balexandre, I never knew for sure where the directories, of the packages managed by cuttlefish, are. you can let me know ?

  • @Marcossousa the Chocolatey by default uses C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\lib
