Crystal Report does not allow creating parameter

I’m trying to create a parameter in Crystal Report and when I click Ok nothing happens. Is there parameter limitation in Crystal in one project? because I read something similar in another forum. Was it a setup? What I did was: Right-click on "Parameter Fields" - "New" and open this window below. I changed the name and nothing happens at the click of OK.

  • Does not appear in "Field Explorer" ? I have CR with a dozen parameters ...

    tries to assign some "fixed" value in value options to the parameter or just try changing the type, haven’t seen parameter limit cases in CR yet
