I’m having the following error when compiling on Delphi XE5, does anyone know what it might be? started after an unsuccessful attempt to install XE6.

ERRO BRCC2

Apparently the paths have been lost because he is looking for the compiler inside the folder of his project. BRCC32 is the compiler of Resources. You have some command in the pre or pos build execution of the project?

  • I think I had bad luck in the installation of XE6 even, I didn’t really change anything in the execution, it occurred suddenly.

  • already tried to restore XE5 installation?

  • I’m really getting back together.

Problem solved. Kaspersky Pure 3 antivirus was blocking some instance of the compiler, this problem started to occur without any configuration in Antivirus, probably after some automatic update of it.

    Thanks for the tip.

It seems you have made a custom installation of Delphi XE5, when trying to install XE6 version you must have opted for a default installation that must have changed the current (custom) settings, a likely way to fix this error is shown in this article made by Embarcadero.
