How to make a private repository public on Gitlab?

  • Preferences ==> general ==> project visibility.

I found it on a somewhat different path:

Select Desired Project >Settings >General >Permissions >Project visibility.

However, as the initial configuration was "private" when changing to "public", an access request is forwarded to each project administrator for any new view of a visiting user.
