The Phpstorm editor has a hot key for the "surround with" command, someone knows if Notepad++ has this feature and which hot key?

It seems to me that Notepad++ does not have this capability, but it seems to me tb (I don’t use the app) that it has macro recording functions where you can add functionality. Check this answer on Soen: https://stackoverflow.com/a/4181826/1377664

Notepad++ does not have this capability natively. You have two options to add quotes, parentheses etc. around a selection.

  • Record macros -> there are several sites on the internet that teach you how to do this. Some suggest gambiarras that will foul the area of transference, so beware. In the end, it is up to you to create a macro that is efficient and accurate.

  • Using plugins, such as Surroundselection. If anyone knows more plugins, feel free to edit the answer.

  • Thanks for the feedback friends. Actually, I stopped using Notepad++ as the main editor, I started using Atom. I say we call it quits.
