The problem is with notifyDataSetChanged() when I update recyclerview Edittext loses focus wanted it not to lose focus, already tried with requestfocos does not give.

You can save an Edit id that is in focus and then if it is rendered again you arrow the focus. But for this problem you can solve several ways. Follow a link with one of them
