I am developing an application using the GWT framework and the need arose to upload images so that they can be saved in a database. I would like someone to show me some example that really works and/or how I should proceed to accomplish such a task.

I recommend using the new features that Xmlhttprequest2 is bringing. A GWT framework that already encapsulates these features is the Crux Framework, take a look at it: http://www.cruxframework.org/ See the "File Uploader component": http://showcase.cruxframework.org/

Thank you for your attention, Samuel Cardoso. I was able to solve the problem using the Apache Commons libraries. I am using the Extjs framework.
