I use a Ubuntu 16.04+apache+vsftpd instance in Amazon ec2.
I cannot see the file . htaccess via ftp, but in vps it is there.
What can it be? Binary files I also can’t see via ftp, will the problem be vsftpd in vps, or can it be in ftp client?
What to do?
How are you accessing the FTP server? Some cases you need to pass the parameter
-a
to list all files (include hidden ones). Ps.: Hidden files on Linux, start with dot.– Valdeir Psr
Or you can add
force_dot_files=YES
in the configuration of your FTP server and restart it.– Valdeir Psr
I think this last tip would solve...

I am accessing normally, I use as a client, Ilezilla in windows. Configured the protocol as: FTP, normal logon type, user and password. But in this case it cannot show the ". "files, and there’s more, in which case I can’t work with binary files, only accepts ascii, so I think it must be 2 different problems.. Then I change the configuration to the protocol: SFTP with logon via Key file, but this is not ideal because in this case I am using the root of vps there, works, but does not scroll it.
