Add a string to a variable

I have the following code for a user capo:

<input id="DomainUserName" name="DomainUserName" type="text" class="textInputField" runat="server" size="25" autocomplete="off" />

This way the user is obliged to type domain or domain/user , I want it not necessary to enter the domain , the variable receives the user and enter the domain alone.
