I have a personal project using Hibernate with java 9, and it doesn’t seem to run at all! Follow the error:

In the exception we have:

Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/bind/JAXBException

That is, did not find Jaxbexception (at runtime, only).

JAXB Apis are considered to be JAVA EE Apis, and therefore are no longer in the Java 9 default classpath.

Quick solution: Add modules that are no longer loaded by default with the command line option --add-modules java.se.ee

However, it is possible that these modules will be removed in future versions of Java. So...

Recommended solution is: Include your own copy in class path or module path. For example, to add JAX-B Apis as a Maven dependency:
