How to customize Stepper material icons?

Good afternoon. I’m trying to modify the icons that come by default in the design material Stepper but can’t find any workable solution. inserir a descrição da imagem aqui

This edit icon I’m talking about. Is there any way to put a custom icon?

Another question, is it possible to identify which step is with validation error in the form? Or active?

    I couldn’t find a solution. I had to work with the exchange at the same time, capturing the elements in the DOM and manipulating.
