I’m trying to identify yes card on the Galaxy Y smartphone however, this smartphone is dual chip and I can not display. I did some research but I just found how to identify only one sim card

 TelephonyManager telMgr = (TelephonyManager) getSystemService(Context.TELEPHONY_SERVICE);
 telMgr.getLine1Number()

There is no method telMgr.getLine2Number()

  • Take a look at this question and the first answer in Stackoverflow EN: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14517338/android-check-whether-the-phone-is-dual-sim/17499889#17499889. It seems you will have to leave for Reflection.

  • Vixe, reflaction is a God help us. I prefer to adhere to this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5255147/dual-sim-card-androidsolution

    Ah, if Samsung has an API for that device it’s not a problem, but it doesn’t have much of a solution besides Reflection if you’re going to do something more generic.

public static boolean isMultiSim() {
    int slotCount = 1;
    try {
        slotCount = (Integer) Class.forName("com.android.internal.telephony.MultiSimManager")
                .getDeclaredMethod("getSimSlotCount").invoke(null);
    } catch (Exception e) {
        Log.e("TAG", "Error trying to get sim slot count", e);
    }
    return slotCount > 1;
}

I think that solves your problem

  • I tested this solution but it didn’t work for me, basically only recognized a single sim card, I believe it is the name of the Samsung simcard2 identification method that is wrong.
