Good afternoon. I wonder if it is possible to create a column with function/formula (when we use the = symbol)? In the same way that we use in many functions, type of =SE, =CONT.SE, =PROCV ...

If possible, how can I do that? Because I have a spreadsheet that at some point, I want to put this, supposed function/formula, writing how many columns I want to add, before finishing the spreadsheet. Because the values that fill these columns, they vary. I was thinking of a cell, if possible. And after writing the number, automatically create the same amount of columns, according to the number I wrote.

Example, wrote 2, create two columns. I wrote 23, create 23 columns ..

you will probably have to create a macro to do this.

But to help other people answer you: what are you calling "creating a column"? The columns are all "created". Want to fill some column cells with some specific value? Or just change the formatting?

  • No, they’re not created. They would be generated conforms I specified above, typing in some way, in a cell for example the amount of columns I want, then it creates

  • if Voce opens a new blank sheet in excel, it has "infinite" blank columns, ready to be filled. If you don’t explain what you’re calling "creating a column" here, no one can help you.

  • I agree with jsbueno, the question is not very clear.
