I have a spreadsheet where there are indicators that are updated daily.

I would like to somehow send this spreadsheet to a client and when I update some sheet information, on my computer, automatically be updated this information in the sent spreadsheet (which is with the client).

It is possible to accomplish this?

  • Google Sheets, Sharepoint, Dropbox, Onedrive...

  • Through Sharepoint, Dropbox or Onedrive, is it possible to upload the spreadsheet and continue with macros? Thanks in advance.

I believe that it will not be possible to do this without you sending it back to your client after each change, because you send a copy of the Excel file in question. then it would be impossible to update automatically, this would only be possible if your client in question were on the same network as you and you put that file on the network. or you can use the online Excel editor that already comes in your microsoft email and create a file shared with your client then yes it would work.

  • Good afternoon, thank you for your answers. The issue is that spreadsheet contains macros and when sent to google sheets for example, it loses all these settings.

  • Just a note for reply, you can connect Excel VBA with google Sheets by a API, but I have not tested it. So I do not know the reliability of it.
