I have a project ready in my company where I use pfsense on the network edge, the equipment plays the role of Proxy, Firewall, gateway and VPN with SSL certificate, but a third party when coming to deploy a cloud access point to point need to use this network already configured, and asks that we can use VPN pptp or L2tp, I would like to know which of these is the safest for my project, thinking of the company data that will be trafficked to the third party environment.

Solutions that use only L2TP are not indicated to traffic data through public networks, because traffic is not encrypted, the solution becomes more secure and complete when it is integrated with Ipsec. That is, the solution you should look for between the two you listed is L2TP/Ipsec, which is the data tunneling in layer 2 plus layer 3 encryption.
