I have a local server running some applications php, and some running in virtual environment hosts, all accessing via https, but now the company wants to make the intranet via ip available for external access, but do not want to register a domain to point through the dns.br registry, I have read the documentation and I can not find a solution, but in some forums I found reports of people who managed to, however no tutorial.

Someone managed to certify Let's Encrypt for public ips? as I mentioned I am without money even for a domain, how much I rate for a ssl. Or there is another form of free certificates?

This is my scenario:

Servidor Linux: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS X64
2TB de HD
16 GB Ram
2MB link dedicado
  • It would be so much easier to point out a subdomain, wouldn’t it? Something like intranet.dominioatualdaempresa.com.br, which would take 15 minutes of configuration at most.

Unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to certify about ip, only by domain, this information can be found on the official website of Let’s Encrypt and in the site community on this link

But according to the documentation there is a study and they are in test, we will wait.
