Access and excel - load parameters

is it possible to use an excel table as parameters for access queries? I currently have 4 access files to carry out the same process, but with different filters (I used 4 files to leave organized). The filters are basically START DATE, END DATE and a DESCRIPTION field. I would like to leave this information in excel and leave access only to process.

If this solution is not possible, is it possible to load several parameters at once in the access queries? It would have the same practical effect as it would load the parameters of each process before execution.

Your question seems more appropriate for the Super User since it does not seem to cover any programming

  • I understand, but if the only solution is via macro, there will be code involved, so I posted here

  • It is possible yes, even it would be possible to also simply create a configuration file, txt same, instead of an Excel.

  • But because the 4 separate Access files?

  • @Marco, and how would you create this TXT for configuration? This is my question. Today, I keep in 4 separate files because they are different processes, which use the same bases. If you put them all together it would be impossible to organize

  • @fhbeltrami I think I misread your problem. You have 4 copies of an Access file with the same tables and data, but each one has a query searching different values?

  • Could you illustrate a little better where the records are and what exactly you’re using from Access? (e.g.: form, consultation, report, table)
