I am migrating from Apache pro Nginx, and from a certificate "wildcard" (wildcard Certificate - a single certificate for several domains) for SNI. I would like to test the new configuration locally (preferably via Vagrant - my server uses Freebsd and my local machine uses Windows 7, but that’s on me, not part of the question). It is possible?
Clarifying: I can access my local installation via localhost or 127.0.0.1 or using my machine’s IP. However, I would like to test using different domain names - as if it were a single server hosting several websites - although not necessarily the same ones that will be used in production (but rather, because it would simplify the SNI tests). Since the goal is to check whether the virtual servers name-based and your certificates are working correctly (i.e. the webserver configuration is also on my account).
