I have an app android with an update button, where low apk updated and installed, but it is necessary to close the application, install the new one and start it again.
Is there any other way to update my application? I saw in some that the application downloads on itself and already updates, without having to close it.
Otherwise, it is possible to make my application start again without forcing the user to do so?
In my opinion, the safest for users is to make the app available in the Play Store and leave this management of updates there. It is not good practice to force the user to turn on the option to install apk’s ("unknown sources") in the device setup just to keep your application updated, and in return, to leave a security breach open.
