I’m trying to set up my droplet with the domain I purchased on register.br following the tutorial of Digitalocean.

In the second step of the tutorial says I have to change the domain servers of the register.br for those of the digitalocean.

I’m trying to do this by going on my domain in the section DNS and clicking on the option CHANGE DNS SERVERS

But when I do this I am presented with the following error by clicking on SAVE DATA:

Does anyone know where I’m going wrong? I’m doing it in the right place?

I managed to solve this problem by running the step three of tutorial before the two.

It seems that the register.br before changing the DNS server makes a query to the new server to know if it has registration of its domain, so it was giving Pesquisa recusada. After registering my domain in Digital Ocean the error has disappeared.

After adding the domain to the cloud.digitalocean.com/networking/Omains control panel, you need to assign a Droplet to it, so it will create a fourth entry beyond the 3 Nss.

To do so, click Projects -> Your Project Name -> Droplet -> Contextual Menu (...) -> Add Domain.

Bottom line: not only do you add the domain to the Digital Ocean dashboard, you need to link that domain to a/app/droplet project
