When using the <figure> tag

I only know that it serves to give more semantics to visual elements. My doubts are:

  • When should we use?
  • What are the best practices?
  • Are there alternatives to it? When should I use them?

  • @Randrade exactly.

  • Particularly because it has the <figcaption> associated to give a label to the element

  • So whenever I want to have a caption in an img I put a figure.
