Problems . htacess

I built a site in Joomla and we are deploying in the client server (UOL HOST) but I ran into a problem.

The old site was inside the ftp folder: dominio.com.br/web

We put the files in another folder and upload the new content to that folder. When accessing everything was ok, but with a problem: On the URL of the site began to show these ftp directories in the link:

www.dominio.com.br/var/www/dominio.com.br/web

In Joomla we have the option to enable the mod_rewrite of the server so that the url is friendly. So this URL would be hidden.

It turns out that inside the server it didn’t happen.

Inside the folder of the site, we send a file . htaccess that we use on other clients and just change the url, but nothing happened either.

If in Joomla I disable the mod_rewrite option, all this folder directory goes missing, but there is that famous "index.php" replacing in place and the other urls are "dirty", so I can’t leave it like this.

We wanted to keep the URL schema friendly, but with this ftp link hidden in the URL.

I tried to play the site in the root folder (outside of this domain.com.br/web) and it’s the same thing, it adds the "var/www/" in the URL.

I also tried to log into UOL Host to see if there was any way to disable or change this root FTP folder, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

I don’t have much knowledge of server configuration, but I followed the pattern of others we did and I didn’t have this problem. Being UOL Host and different from the others we host, I believe it is something in the hosting.

Just for knowledge, I’m putting down as mine . htaccess

I managed to solve the problem. For people who in the future have this problem with UOL Host, just get the file. htaccess Joomla standard and take out the "#" that comments on the line "Rewritebase /".

If the site is installed in a subfolder, it would look like this:

"Rewritebase /site directory"
