Hello, I’m new here, but I have a little problem in excel. I need to make a table that includes columns with a number from the name. In the base table the user will fill in the name of the person and his score, and need that in another tab, with a table appear the name of the person and excel included the number that was filled in the base sheet to each column.

    A B C D
1 JOÃO 2 1
2 JOSE 1
3 MARIA 3 2 2
4 FRANCISCA 4

It is possible that?

  • Just take a value from one spreadsheet and play to another? I did not understand mt well

  • More then I would have to do manual, I would have to filter in the base sheet the name of the person and pick her score, number by number and put in the summary table. The base sheet is a normal spreadsheet, which the person puts in the developer’s name, and his score (1 to 10) for some kind of service provided and in the table I already have the name of all collaborators but I need the excel bouquet by the name of the person the punctuation of it inserted in the base, number by number and add this to each column

Ah, now I think I understand. But what would be summarized in the summary table with respect to the base table?

  • Just the name of the person and all the scores she made in the month. example: Jose did 1,3,5,2, Maria 2,4,5 , just need q he search for this information and put in the columns followed in the table

  • But if it’s the whole score then there’s nothing summed up, it’s not even?

  • No, the base sheet is filled in manually (name and punctuation), row by row, but the table does not appear each score given to such a name. I tried to make a dynamic, but it counts or compresses the repeated scores, and I need numbers, if the guy only gets a score of 1, I need all those 1’s in the columns in front of the guy’s name.

  • Maybe the solution is PROCV (or VLOOKUP if your excel is in English). You could post a short example of what these tables would look like?

  • So, but procv, in the first word he finds as reference, he stops searching and only brings that value and will always appear the name of the collaborator more than 1 time in the spreadsheet. Sorry but, I put on a new topic?? has an email to I ti send an example?

You can use the Excel Dynamic Table feature for this. In it you can transform this data into an array where the name will be the column and the score the corresponding value, this feature calculates almost everything for you.

In that link explains the first steps and I believe they are enough to give result that you need.

  • But the dynamic table will count or compress the data and I need it to appear in the summary table, number by number. example: Jose made 1,3,5,2, Maria 2,4,5, that when I select only 1 specific month, is only the name of the person in the line and all of her scores in each column.

  • Understood, even using the dynamic table, you can put the punctuation columns in the area of rows of the dynamic table, so it will not add or count the information. But this will only work if you can predict the maximum number of columns for scoring.
