I set the variables GRAILS_HOME and JAVA_HOME that I used to use for the Griffon, but when trying to access the Grails I get the following error:

It does not seem to be a problem of the grails. Try to add C:\WINDOWS\system32 in your Environment variable Path

I installed version 2.4.0 and had this error but it was all right with 2.3.9

What is your version of Java? It may be that versions 2.4.x need Java 8, while 2.3.x need Java 7.
