I’m trying to add a product in the cart without refreshing the page, however much the toilet option to use ajax is enabled it does not work.
I was wondering how can I edit to not update.

Try to add something in the cart with the navigation console open and make sure there is no error.

Look at the network tab of the browser if it actually runs ajax when you click add in the cart.
