So I have an Aki problem. I wanted to make a website apache2 (just for testing) and release it to the network, but the door of my router does not open at all. Router model: TL-WR740N and Modem: ZTE. Obs: when I put my ip on port 80 a window appears saying "DSL Router", but I can’t access my page (which I set on another port).

It depends on how many "network layerss" you have and it may also be that the router blocks the port, it may also be that the firewall is blocking, it may be the internet provider that has some lock, this a little wide to be able to respond, see if this helps you: external access with wamp

  • what would those layers be? on the router I’ve already opened, only if it’s the firewall or the provider (hi). But is there some kind of firewall on linux? how to access?

  • Jackson, I put in quotes, I say layers in case a device in Wan that is between the computer and the router or modem (if the modem connects directly), then in case would have to release the port "layer" by "layer". This is just one theory, No way to know, so I informed you all possible problems I assume: 1. vc has more than one device in Wan ("layers") 2. Firewall that blocks something 3. provider that blocks something. Of course there may be other problems, but there’s no way to give you an exact answer to this, it’s very relative...

  • ... try to follow the hints of the link https://answall.com/a/50934/3635 by doing the step by step to see if you can, if you still fail I will try to help you via "chat" ;)

  • OK I’ll try, thanks for the tips : )

1) This is probably because of your internet provider, you can communicate them to know what you need to do to open the ports or use another computer port.

2) You can use an Open Port VPN - When connected to an Open Port VPN you have all the necessary ports open... But remembering that VPN’s Open Port the free ones are not always unlimited so I recommend you use the No-IP that this way there will be no problem if you use another VPN

I hope I’ve helped any doubt just ask

  • So I tried here and nothing. I’ve disabled the firewall, I put my IP on the DMZ, is the modem somehow "blocking" the connection? I tested here with port 7777 (so there is no conflict).

1) Only use a single modem? Try using DMZ instead of opening a door in NAT. (It’s just for testing, isn’t it?) Disable the firewall to ensure.

If it does not work, it may be that your internet provider does not allow the use of port 80, try with another port.

  • Yes, I only use a modem, but does it interfere with the fact that I use a laptop (which is connected by Wifi) and the modem (which is connected to a computer)? I wanted to clear the doors for the laptop

  • I thought I had solved everything, but I went to test and in fact the host is only on the internal network. I’ve put in the DMZ and nothing, but I realized that when I put my ip at port 80 a window appears saying "DSL Router", but I can’t access my page (which I set in another port).
