You can delete it if you want, it doesn’t hurt other projects. It’s created by the remote system explorer that comes with Eclipse.

To prevent it from being created again (in a new project), turn this option off in: In Window-> Preferences guy 'Remote'. Click on 'Remote Systems View' (Remote Systems Display) and uncheck the option 'Reopen Remote Systems View to Previous State' (Reopen Remote Systems View to Previous State).
Note: This option worked for me

Other option (if not the previous one)
Just go to Window -> Preferences -> General -> 'Startup and Shutdown' (Startup and Shutdown) and uncheck CSU. Then you can remove the folder and Eclipse will not recreate it.

What is Remotesystemstempfiles in Eclipse?

  • Ismael, inside the org.eclipse.core.resources.Projects directory has 3 folders, two referring to two projects and one from Servers. What should I delete in this directory from the error?

  • If the Remotesystemstempfiles folder exists, delete it, if not, do the configuration procedure in Eclipse.
