I’m facing a problem in mine Ubuntu and also in the Windows where I can’t access any SSH and SFTP. I only get the message from: "Connection Timed Out". I already sent the IP for my friends, and they all managed to access it without problems, only I’m with this problem.

Message reported at time of error:

SSH: connect to host xxxxx port 22: Connection timed out
  • Customer door 22 must be used by other service

  • Take a look at its infrastructure: router, firewall etc... see if security isn’t picking up port 22. By the way, you are able to connect to other machines by SSH?

  • I can’t connect to any ssh friend. how can I see if port 22 is being used?

  • Does this mistake happen to any ssh made from your connection??? Check if your router has the virtual feature Servers, if you have put the destination ip and the port, in case the 22 and try to access.

  • Yes friend, no ssh connects. Would that be it? : http://prntscr.com/f2erew

Guys I managed to solve. the problem is that my router was blocking the doors less than 1200. I don’t know for what reason... I switched the ssh door to > 1200 and it worked. in my case I put 1500.

Whoever’s got this problem is the solution, and thanks to whoever tried to help.

  • I had recently increased the speed of my internet, and the Modem was replaced by a more powerful one. After that, I couldn’t use ssh anymore. I entered the settings and I saw no restriction on the doors, I will have to call NET, I believe it is a direct lock of them.
