Good morning guys, there are some grids in PSD for mobile ( col-Xs ) with 2 columns and some with examples of 3 columns. Does anyone know why this difference? Would have some mobile grid in PSD or sketch to share with us?

Thank you very much.

I speak from experience that often people will want something more minimalist. Both 2 columns and 3 are minimalist, because it does not "fill" information in a single row. In my opinion, I prefer it to be 2 columns, because it makes the site more quickly readable, more "clean" and formatted, even more for the mobile version, since almost everything today is accessed by mobile.

  • Thank you very much Gabriel. I heard that in grid Xs we could have up to 5 columns, does it proceed? You would have some psd or sketch with a 3-column Xs grid that conformed to bootstrap 4?

  • In fact, you are free to choose as many columns as you want, if you want to put 12 columns, you can (in this case, adding 12 times the div class="col-xs-1" in the HTML code). So you can put the 5 columns to rest. And I don’t know any PSD/sketch of 3 columns, but surely there must be one around.
