Google Chrome extension - Add tags on the page

there is some function or way to add points/objects on the running page?

My idea is to allow the extension user to click on the page and add a bookmark.

With Javascript injected + API DOM (HTML manipulation via javascript) + css is fully possible.

@Guilhermenascimento seems complex, I only found examples where the html manipulation is predefined directly in the code =(.
