I have an X domain that uses two NS, a master and another slave1, from the Equinix datacenter here in Brazil.
I will change this domain to use other Amazon NS, how long does it take to take effect?
During this time, every request will continue to fall into the old "note" of the old NS?

Propagating
The spread of nameservers can take up to 24 hours and depends on several factors. Among them is your ISP and the TTL (time to live or lifetime) defined in the record.
Requisitions
During the propagation process the requests you make will return a response according to the current record on the DNS servers closest to you. So all the answers will be given based on the old nameservers, until the propagation is complete and there may be discrepancies between several DNS servers which is completely natural. That is, the same domain can point to two different servers in different locations. It may also happen that an ISP takes a little longer to get the nameservers fully propagated.
Usually I make the change at the end of Friday afternoon, because depending on the business branch of the domain it may not have the same use during the weekend.
If you migrate the site to another server I advise you to pass all the content subject to changes at the end of the spread (emails, database, among other dynamic data)

That’s exactly what I’m going to do, migrate site from one server to another. You are telling me that I should leave the site already ready in the "destination" but still connected in the old database, and only change this setting after the end of the spread?

If you can connect to the database on the old server yes, it will make your job easier. It will be enough to migrate the old database at the end of the propagation to the destination. Avoiding a fusion of the two.

Excellent suggestion! If you had about 40 subdomains in this domain, each with its database, you would stop the entire system and migrate all the Bds or would stop one subdomain at a time to migrate it?

I know that in these matters the customer always wants the service ready for yesterday, but anyway would make the migration phased for organization and prevention issues. It’s longer, but I prefer it. We must also take into account whether the two servers have equal administration panels ( WHM/CPANEL, PLESK, INTERWORX, among others). You can also do the same with A’s.
