What I need to install to publish a Xamarin.Forms.iOS project in an iOS simulator?

I’m using a machine with: Windows 10 Visual Studio 2015

Whenever I try to run some Xamarin.Forms.iOS project a message appears from: No remotely accessible Macs Were Detected on your network. For more information, click Where’s my Mac?

  • You’ll need a Mac yourself. You’ll even find some ways to virtualize your Mac on Windows, but this practice is illegal.

I think it is necessary to run the simulator on a machine with OSX or at least, as the error says, a machine with OSX (Macs) on the network to run remotely.

To compile and simulate an iOS application on Windows, unfortunately, you will need an Apple computer connected to the network, as Apple requires that your applications only be compiled on your devices (computers)further evidence that Xamarin is actually native ;).

As we well know an Apple computer is not cheap, however, there are legal solutions that can help you in this sense, which is the rental of Apple machines, with them will be possible to connect them and perform the compilation and simulation.

In addition it is necessary to have the Enterprise version of Visual Studio!
