Windows 10 since Home version already has availability for IIS.

If you need to install remember that for the Windows 10 you must install the IIS10.

Make sure the feature is enabled on your Windows:

  • Click the button Initiate
  • Search for: Enable Windows features or disable features
  • Select the option: Internet Information Services

Older versions like Windows 7 Home Basic may not contain the available OSI.

  • I did exactly this and at the end says that windows can not complete.

  • Lorena, you’re like machine administrator?

  • Yes, I’m an administrator.

  • See if in windows events you don’t have any information about the error you might be giving.

Your internet has some access restriction?

  • Yes @Pablovargas, this could be it?

  • Yes, because some features may need to be downloaded from Microsoft servers.

  • I’ll change it and try. Thanks!!

I had a similar personal experience.

On a newly booted Windows 10 machine with some installed tools (Antivirus among them) the installation of IIS never came to an end.

The cause was linked to conflicts between the service Trustedinstaller and the safety tool.

By disabling all aspects of security (Firewall and Antivirus) the installation of IIS was able to proceed to the end.

  • I’ve disabled everything here and it’s still the same problem :/
