Is it mandatory to rebuild?

Whenever I pressed the Start button to run my program and test, it ran correctly. From time to time, whenever I change something and run the program, it does not update, I need to right click on the project in 'Rebuild' to be able to update.

What could it be? I don’t remember touching anything different.

    Check in the menu Build | Configuration Manager if the Active solution.. is debug and if all projects are marked as build
