Well, I see some examples of code using associative tables. But I’m not sure what this term means, its applicability, the concept etc...

The cardinality N to N leads to the logical model the need to define yet another entity. We call this ASSOCIATIVE.

In other words, this occurs in cases where Voce intends to perform a relationship N to N.
