I’ve always heard developers talk about pre-processors, but I haven’t found articles on disadvantages and advantages yet.
I also wondered if it’s better to use pure or pre-processed css.

Face in my opinion pre-processors are great, do what promises.
Where its positive points are passed through all that ease and flexibility proposed to our friend CSS, which is a language that is evolving quite in terms of coding programming in style sheets.
Now its cons is all about not being native all these functions and possibilities that the pre-processors exert on our CSS, anyway.
It’s worth writing pure CSS for small but well structured projects and extensive modular CSS for larger projects that make sense to use these Features to improve CSS.

The question is nice, but I think it tends to go for the side of opinion. :/
