Zabbix 3.0 - How to receive radio association data via SNMP

I am new to the Zabbix platform and know very little about the SNMP protocol.

My question is simple, goes the explanation of the process:

1 - Each subway station has 2 radios (1 on each track) and each train has its own radio;

2 - When a train arrives at the station, it associates and authenticates with the respective radio on the route of the station in question, appearing the information below (using the Telnet command on the station radio, I can observe this connection data):

3 - In the image, shows an authenticated and associated MAC ADRESS, that is, nothing else is that the X train is at the Y station.

Question: I need a simple way to get Zabbix to send me the following information via SNMP at the connection ATO (as soon as the train authenticates):

  • Connection MAC ADRESS (in case the Train);
  • MAC ADRESS of the radio (in this case the station and via);
  • Date and Time of connection;

Note: I intend to have these MAC ADRESS in a database to know which train name and station name will be done later.

Thank you!

Hello, Well, first you need to understand that Zabbix does not send any information via SNMP, on the contrary, it manages to capture information that your device (radio) makes available via SNMP.

To know everything your radio provides, you must use snmpwalk to perform the consultations on the equipment and later build the monitoring via Zabbix.

Don’t forget to always consult the official Zabbix documentation.

Below are some links that will help you in the process.

I hope it helped.

Good studies.
