Most desktop applications written for the Windows 7 and to the Windows 8.1 also work in the Windows 10, But it’s possible that some old applications malfunction or don’t even work. If an older application does not work properly, run the Troubleshooting for Program Compatibility. To that end:
Do not run Script Compatibility Troubleshooting in antivirus programs, firewall software, copy software security, disk utilities or system programs provided with Windows. This procedure may cause data loss or create a security risk.
- Step 1: Click on Windows and write run programs.
- Step 2: In the search results, select Run programs created for previous versions of Windows.
- Step 3: In Troubleshooting Program Compatibility Issues, select Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
