My JSF application I’m using a file. properties to store the texts, etc. I already use calling the keys inside the .xhtml. file How do I call the keys in the code . java ?

My class Util:

You could use the ResourceBundle, with it you can access the files that are in the system’s Resource folder. Example:

public class ResourceUtil {

    private static ResourceBundle bundle;

    static {
        bundle = ResourceBundle.getBundle("messages_pt_BR", new Locale("pt_br"));
    }


    public static String recupera(String chave) {
        return bundle.getString(chave);
    }
}

This key is the name of my file . properties?

No, this is the name of the property that exists as a properties file. The name of the file in this example is messages_pt_BR.

That’s right, in the case within the messages_pt_BR.properties should contain the information MSG001=Conteudo da chave., for example, so that something like recupera("MSG001") work.

@Douglas, please, next time don’t do this. Finish this question, and create another one. The question has changed in scope. It’s not the same question anymore. Probably your error is in the message file, the system fails to find it inside Resources, try to remove resources\ why you may already be looking directly into the folder.
