Hello, I would like to develop two websites, one of them institutional and the other a virtual store. But I would like to use the same domain. Soon I think it will look like this: When someone writes www.meusite.com.br, it will be redirected automatically to www.meusite.com.br/institutional. (Because I wish that when she type she is redirected to the institutional), and in the institutional there will be links for the person to go to the store that then the home of the store will be: www.meusite.com.br/shop. Soon, there will be nothing at www.meusite.com.br.
I wonder if both sites (www.meusite.com.br/institutional and www.meusite.com.br/shop) will appear in google SEO, and these are from the same domain. And what would be the possible solutions to my problem. Note: The website of the store will be Brazilian and will be in the root folder, and the institutional is a subdirectory that will use wordpress. Thank you in advance.

  • Google is (kind of) agnostic about the technology used to build a website, so it will index everything within www.meusite.com.br , if you do a good indexing job. This is regardless of how the pages are constructed. If you want a different SEO job for each of them, and more targeted, I would recommend using sub-domains, like store.meusite.com.br, but there’s another story there

  • You can develop using Wordpress with Woocommerce, so you will have the institutional and the store running on the same domain and on the same platform. I just don’t think it’s necessary /institucional/ this institutional part of the site can be at the same root, type, when accessing meusite.com.br the person see the institutional and when to access /loja/ see the shop
