The aesthetic patterns of input date
will depend on the browsers that support it. If you want a cross-browser and customizable option, you will have to use a plugin, or something like that. Here’s an example with datePicker
jquery:
$(function() {
$("#datepicker").datepicker({
showOn: "button",
buttonText: "Select date"
});
});
<link rel="stylesheet" href="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.0/themes/base/jquery-ui.css">
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.12.4.js"></script>
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.0/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<input type="text" id="datepicker">
You can style this dataPicker with the classes of Jquery-ui.css, example:
$(function() {
$("#datepicker").datepicker({
showOn: "button",
buttonImageOnly: true,
buttonText: "Select date"
});
});
