Oracle Forms: run without browser

I would like to run the form on the desktop itself, without using browser for this. That it’s possible I know, because I’ve seen it, but how do I do it?

I am using Oracle Forms, and when running a form, it runs in a browser, which can be selected in the software settings. However, I’ve seen the software run on desktop even without using a browser.

I would like to know how to make that change, and what I would have to install maybe for this.

Official version:

In the latest versions of Oracle Forms it is not possible to boot Oracle Forms without using a browser.

However, there are alternatives through Java Webstart.

Not being officially a feature, achieving stability and reliability can be tricky initially.

  • hello!! I appreciate the help and attention. I was able to create the file . jnlp but I could not set the Forms to open this way. Where do I define it? I don’t quite understand this part... I wait, thank you!

Good by localhost (127.0.0.1) I don’t go there for sure. The error he gave you suggests that he wants X type Y arguments and you submitted invalid arguments. impossible to help you more without seeing the code but that escapes the question asked
